dovecot and farmhouse at Crèvecœur-en-Auge

Crèvecœur-en-Auge is a collection of preserved mediaeval buildings - a castle and surrounding buildings - in Normandy, France.

This picture shows the 15th century dovecot (on the left) and farmhouse (on the right), two of the buildings in the outer bailey of the castle complex. The dovecot could house up to 1,500 pairs of birds. They would enter and leave through the dormer window at the top.
