beneath the kiss
Coal Drops Yard, Kings Cross. Designed by architect Thomas Heatherwick and opened in 2018. The stand-out architectural flourish is the 'kissing roof' where two curved roof sections meet in the middle over the central square.
Behind are the former Victorian gasholders, originally built to store town gas from Pancras Gasworks, and now converted into luxury apartment blocks designed by architects Wilkinson Eyre. Also completed in 2018.
