Cretto - 'cracked' - is a gigantic art installation by Italian artist Alberto Burri, first created in 1984 but not fully completed until 2015.
It is a life size recreation of a 350m x 280m section of the street plan of the town of Gibellina, Sicily, created from concrete. The town had been entirely destroyed in an earthquake in 1968.
