Shoreditch was once a centre of furniture manufacturing, and many of its old buildings were previously factories, warehouses and showrooms for that trade. This small alleyway (Mills Court, off Charlotte Road) housed W.A. Hudson, a company which manufactured brass fixtures for cabinets.
