South Mere

South Mere lake sits on the northern edge of the Thamesmead Estate. The Lakeside Centre (now housing a cafe, nursery and workshop space) is on the northern edge of the lake.

 

The lettering on the sign uses the stylised typeface from the movie poster for the film A Clockwork Orange, part of which was filmed on the estate.
