Light Up The Museum
Christmas light installation at the Museum of the Home, Kingsland Road, Hackney. The light display is designed by Jessica Hung Han Yun, and is inspired by East Asian night markets.
The Museum of the Home was formerly called the Geffrye Museum and is sited in almshouses built in 1714 and funded by a bequest from the merchant (and former Lord Mayor of London) Sir Robert Geffrye - who had built his wealth in part from slavery. Controversially, his statue still stands above the main entrance (and is just visible in this shot).
