Colechurch House

Brutalist building adjacent to London Bridge Station (and near the Shard, seen far right). Built in 1973 and designed by architect E.G. Chandler.

Sadly it has not been well maintained and seems likely to be demolished to make way for a new, taller development, judging by the following comments on the site owner's website (which amount to a signed death warrant):

"An old and tired building in a poor state of repair"

"does not meet the needs of modern occupiers"

"We can make the public space bigger, better, greener and safer for everyone"

"Southwark Council has identified the site as appropriate for a taller building"
