The Battleship Building

The Battleship Building was completed in 1969 and was originally a maintenance depot for British Rail. In 2000 it was was converted into offices by architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris.

It sits in a small plot of land between the Westway overpass, the Harrow Road and the Regent's Canal near Paddington, west London.

I'm not sure what function is performed by the concrete 'mushroom' in the foreground. It has lights set into its top, and is concave when viewed from above (so perhaps is something to do with drainage).
