taking the strain

Hefty concrete supports beneath Centre Point, a 34-storey tower block in Central London. In the centre, the staircase linking it to the adjoining restaurant deck (above my head as I took this).

 

Completed in 1966, the building was designed by Richard Seifert and Partners.
