Coal Drops Yard is a former coal depot in Kings Cross, London, originally used to store coal brought in by rail before transferring it onto the adjacent Regent's Canal for distribution.
It was redeveloped as a leisure and retail venue, under the direction of architect Thomas Heatherwick. The two main covered sections of the yard are spanned by a modern curved roof formed of two sections which join over the middle - as seen here. Apparently it is called a 'kissing roof'.
