the library at The Vyne
The Vyne is a 16th-century country house outside Sherborne St John, Basingstoke, Hampshire, England.
It was built for Lord Sandys, King Henry VIII's Lord Chamberlain, and later passed to the Chute family, whose coat of arms of three swords can be seen in the central roundel within the fireplace.
The ceiling ribs seen here were originally in the north bedroom, but were moved when the house was remodelled.
