cloister of San Giovanni degli Eremiti, Palermo

San Giovanni degli Eremiti (St. John of the Hermits) is a church in Palermo, Sicily. While its origins go back to the 6th century, it underwent several changes - including being converted to a mosque during the period of Arab rule - before being returned to Christian use in the 12th century.

The cloister is the best preserved part of the ancient monastery.
