the Twelve Apostles at sunset
The Twelve Apostles are a series of limestone stacks off the coast of Victoria, Australia. This is the main set of stacks which lie west of the viewing platform so they can be viewed against the setting sun, as here.
In fact the 'Twelve' Apostles is a misnomer since continual erosion by the sea has led to some of the stacks collapsing.
The Twelve Apostles are (arguably) the high point of the Great Ocean Road which runs south-west from Melbourne down the Victoria coastline.
