Terrace of Infinity in Villa Cimbrone

These marble statues sit on the balustrade of the Terrace of Infinity, from which the sea extends to the horizon where it appears to blend seamlessly into the sky (hence 'Infinity'). The cliffs of the Amalfi Coast are clearly seen in this picture.

 

Villa Cimbrone is a 12th century estate in Ravello (near Amalfi, Italy) which now includes a hotel and formal gardens.
