Pompeii artefacts in storage

Contents of a store room containing various finds from archaeological digs in the ruined Roman city of Pompeii. In the centre can be seen a cast of a dead body, taken from the body-shaped cavity left in the solidified volcanic ash from the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD79. Terracotta vases (amphorae) line the walls.
