Victorian gasholder

Disused Victorian iron gasholder on the Regent's Canal in Bethnal Green. It is known as gasholder no. 5 and was built in 1889 by engineer George Trewby of the Gas Light and Coke Company. The domed container that would have stored the gas is out of shot, telescoped down to the bottom of the frame.
