Vannes: Garenne Wash House with Constable's Tower in background

The Garenne Wash House (Lavoirs de la Garenne) were built in the early 19th century and were used by washerwomen who laundered clothes in the Marle river which runs alongside it (out of shot on the lower right hand side).

The Constable's Tower which is part of Vannes' 15th century city walls was used to store weapons and ammunition.
