Ionic capital on pilaster at Kenwood House
Kenwood House on Hampstead Heath in London originally dates from the early 17th century. The present house owes its appearance to William Murray, 1st Earl of Mansfield, who bought the house in 1754 and then commissioned Robert Adam to remodel it in his trademark neoclassical style between 1764–1779.
It is now owned by English Heritage.
