2018 - Disaster Relief - Sonora / Everman Texas

by zendt66

On September 22, 2018, the area in and round Sonora, Texas was inundated with up to 16 inches of rain in a matter of hours resulting in the flooding of the Dry Devils River impacting some 250 homes.

Among those helping with the recovery were Southern Baptist Debris Removal teams from Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and New Mexico. Images here are of the work team from Oklahoma.

Also included in these images are pictures of the Sutton County Historical Museum's 1891 Jail, which some of the members of the team had an opportunity to tour.

The team stopped by Everman, Texas for a day of debris removal work on the way back home due to local flooding in that area.
