Article in "The Illustrated London News", dated December 8, 1860. "The New President of the United States. Mr. Abraham Lincoln, who has just been elected President of the United States, was born in the county of Hardam, in Kentucky, on the 12th of February, 1809."
I bought this one page many years ago from a stall on Portobello Road in London. The article goes on to tell how Lincoln's grandfather moved the family to Kentucky and was killed by indians while clearing land.
I had a really hard time choosing between shots this week. I expect the shots not used will end up being shot once again to use in subsequent weeks.
