Macro Mondays - Stationery - Pump Jack Paperclips
Group: Macro Mondays
Theme: Stationary
I worked for three petroleum companies through the duration of my working years - in Information technology, always at a desk job.
In the late 1970's and 1980's, it was popular to have desk accessories laser-carved in wood that depicted the nature of your profession. They were from a company named ©Lasercraft. I would frequently be given these items for Christmas and birthdays. One that I had was a paperclip holder, graced with a pump jack on the front. Back then, in such a staid environment, these gaily-colored paperclips would have brought quite an interesting assortment of comments! I liked the idea of contrasting work-eras and dramatically different colors.
A Happy Macro Monday to All!
