Macro Mondays - Dried - Crape Myrtle Seed Pods

We have a Crape Myrtle shrub, at least that's what I think it is, that is through for the year. Shown here are seed pods it has but on. I was captivated by the brilliant blue color.

 

The background is a wooden privacy fence nicely obscured by the narrow DoF. The image is a three-shot HDR processed with Photomatix.
