Macro Mondays - Keepsake - Disaster Relief

Well this was an easy choice - I spent ten years as an active disaster relief volunteer with the Oklahoma Southern Baptist Disaster Relief team serving at diverse locations around the country, on the road about a month every year. After my surgery for throat cancer, I'm no longer physically able to participate but am still enthusiastic about their mission.
This is my DR pin with one of my caps serving as the background. As one might guess, I was not only active in the work but was always my group's primary photographer. There are many albums on my Flickr site dedicated to these trips.
Here is a particularly notable trip where I served with a feeding team, as opposed to debris removal. The trip dealt with the damage caused by Hurricane Sandy.
