When my wife and I were dating 50 years ago, I would buy her an orchid corsage because I wanted her to have the best the florist had to offer. She told me that she really preferred yellow roses so ever since that time yellow roses have represented love to us.
This title is "borrowed" from the song "Black Is The Colour (Of My True Love's Hair)". Actually, hers is now more silver, but it was black back in the days of the yellow corsage.
