Chaco Canyon is a certified "Dark Sky" location in northwest New Mexico. Designated as Chaco Culture National Historical Park, it is the home of many ruins from 850 AD to 1250 AD in the form of Anasazi Great Houses. These images were taken from the campground. While this is a Dark Sky location, there was light pollution in the form of lights from the campground.
