Theme: Love It!

 

I "Love It!" when I'm photographing the American Southwest with its vast skies and rugged terrain. Monument Valley is noted for two buttes called the Western and Eastern Mittens (since they look like mittens - sorta).

 

I'm sure you have seen them before but did you ever wonder what is between the mittens? There is a 3.2 mile trail around the closest mitten called the "Wildcat Trail". Charlie Chapman and I hiked the trail and when we got around to the backside, I took this panorama and converted it to a tiny planet so one could see all of Monument Valley in one image.
