"I Am Four Years Old!" - Snapshot of Little Girl in a 1953 Kitchen
We went to the monthly antique show on Sunday. I bought 1 tintype, 3 photo booth pictures, 6 vernacular snapshots, and one memorial composition. Today I am posting the last 4 of the vernacular. I will post the the memorial composition as soon as I do some more research on the subject.
The four snapshots I am posting today are all in the same format and I am sure are from the same family. The box had many, many more from this family with dates and occasionally other information written on the back of many of them. I wish I had taken more because I remember some specific images that I did not include. I hope to find that dealer next month to sift through that box again.
This kitchen scene is dated Oct. 1953. A little blond girl grins while she holds out a cake with four candles. It is so familiar to me. That mixer is exactly like my mother's.
