Cased Post Mortem Tintype of a Young Woman

This is the second day of my latest attempt to get my "flickr habit" back. I am going to post at least one new item every day and comment on at least three. Let's see if I can keep it up.

 

This is a recent purchase. It is a quarter plate cased tintype of a young woman in her coffin. She wears a sheer white blouse with a pink tinted rose. The dealer called her "Sleeping Beauty" and I feel the name is appropriate.
