Drake's Beach Elephant Seal; this one is the true Alpha of this beach. I'm guessing it might be his last year as such, he's looking pretty beat up. When I went on the Ano Nuevo tour last year the docent pointed out several older bulls lounging away from the rest. She said that they were former alphas that just don;t have the fire anymore; apparently they have a 3 year run.
