It's An Aquired Taste...
Man, these Egrets will eat anything! I saw this guy stalking in a field in Davis and parked to see what happened. The bird was moving away from me, and finally got so far that I gave up. I pulled out onto the road and stopped in the middle because there was a White Tailed Kite standing in a field, then a hawk dove on the Kite, resulting in an airborne fight right in front of my windshield. After that I looked to my right and saw the Egret had something. Something yummy. It swallowed it whole, of course.
