Killdeer Ruffling

I made a scouting trip out to Yolo Wildlife area today, on my 1 day off between 60 hour weeks. They are starting to flood the fields, and some waterfowl are in - mostly coots and shovelers. The raptors have not really showed up in numbers yet, but soon. We did see a couple of Northern Harriers flying over the waterfowl, including a Grey Ghost. I think I'll give it a few more weeks, then go back and try my luck again. I've got a plan to catch those Harriers in action this year.
