Northern Harrier Hawk

There were 4 females patrolling a wide area of grassland above Goat Rock State Beach. They hunt very low and land a lot. I was able to slowly stalk my way up to this perched bird, but, boy did my arms get tired holding up that Sigma Sports waiting for her to fly. Uncropped - the others in the series all have only half to 2/3 of the bird in the frame. Still working on backing off the zoom in anticipation of the wingspan on the takeoff shots. This was the 3rd type of Raptor I was able to get a keeper of on this trip a couple weeks back.
