This is the closest I have ever been to a perched hawk.

After taking my new Sigma lens out to Point Reyes last weekend and coming back with a bunch of soft images, I performed a focus test and it turns out the new lens was focusing a couple of inches in front of my target. Did a microadjustment, and am now getting the images I hoped for. I still need to figure out the tracking settings, because I'm still having a hard time staying locked on a moving subject when there is background clutter.
