Locked In
I'm not sure what type of hawk this is; it doesn't seem to match anything in my identification tools. But, I do know this - if you stay past sunset on a weekday at the Yolo basin Wildlife Refuge, you will get locked in. I left a note on the car that I would be back for it in the morning and bummed a ride home. When I returned in the morning, I was pleasantly surprised to not have the ticket I was expecting.
