++ I have an idea ...
George Bernard Shaw once said "If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple.
But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas".
Daz once said "I have lots of apples and I'm happy to share. Please let me steal all your ideas because I can't think of any and it's really annoying".
It's been a while since I shot anything and even longer since I tried anything creative. I don't get any decent ideas anymore, which I put down to a lack of a project to keep my brain ticking over.
I also have suspicions that my gear is starting to rebel against me. Today I had to contend with an auto-focus motor that wanted to spin by itself instead of focusing the lens and my 50mm front focusing by about an inch. At f3.2 with the subject about a metre away that's enough of an offset to knock your eyes right outta focus. But you do get a sharp tip of the nose.
So ... yeah. All I was really trying to achieve with this photo was to play around with the flash setup (described below) and see what happened. It was never about being massively creative but once I got the picture in front of me on the PC I couldn't help but try and look for some way of doing something idiotic so you guys don't think my Z rate Blue Steel is in any way serious. It's just how my face goes when I take photos of myself.
