// 52_Ninety-two // I am a small part of a faceless army of fools

In a nutshell ... world ... not a nice place ... people as a species ... just semi-intelligent parasites ... surely the only species that would willingly ruin its own habitat for its own sake ... obsessed by the need for everything NOW ... need to slow down ... expanding population vs contracting job market ... more for less ... Internet destroying intellect ... Internet destroying everything ... in short ... I am completely fed up with the modern world.

But ...

I still upload to Flickr.

I still have multiple email accounts.

I still have a Facebook account.

I still have a Twitter account.

I still have a phone that keeps me in constant contact with all of the above ...

... and part of me could happily leave it all behind. Fall off the grid. Enjoy the world around me and the people that matter most to me instead of posting to Twitter/Facebook/Flickr and thinking it's [a] interesting, [b] clever or [c] anyone else cares.

But still I can't shake myself loose from it all. It's driving me a little bit scatty.

And if you think this is rubbish you should hear what I was going to post.

And that last paragraph really shows how sucked in I've become with all this. No one cares what I was going to post - I'm guessing 90% won't even read this through (and they're probably the sensible ones) ... all this illusion of having a presence on the internet and assuming that anyone cares what I've just said, or was going to say ... it's all complete nonsense.

I am a small part of a faceless army of fools.
