// 52_Seventy-six // The continuing story of Geek pt. 7 - Goodbye sweet Geek
Geek is dead.
During a particularly heated game of Dungeons & Dragons with his brothers Leslie, Clint and Bilbo an accident occurred.
A frustrated Leslie, who was on a losing streak dating back weeks, put a bit too much venom into his dice throw. The dice ricocheted off the tabletop, straight through Geek's glasses (recently fitted with state-of-the-art tinted lenses) and entered through the eye, eliminating Geek instantly.
With true poindexter anti-finesse Geek landed face down in his Cheerios (without milk as he's lactose intolerant) as he fell forwards after impact.
Never the closest of siblings, Leslie, Clint and Bilbo didn't need a second chance to pick up the D&D board and pieces and make a less than graceful exit, tripping over their open-toed sandals in their haste to be the first out of the door.
They left Geek as you see him now: face down in his own milk-free cereal, glasses spinning slowly to a stop in time-honoured cartoon tradition ...
A link to the tears brushes I used for the blood.
Strobist info: Snooted SB600 high to camera left, slightly behind and aimed downwards towards the glasses at 1/2 power through umbrella. Fired using CLS.
Aperture: f2.2 // Shutter Speed: 1/200 // ISO: 100
