// 52_Seventy // Beware the Triffids

Genetic engineering has turned once peaceful plant life into ravenous, flesh-eating harbingers of doom.

Out in the field, risking life and limb, one amateur photographer captured this harrowing image of one poor soul who was accosted by a group of rogue chrysanthemums, clubbed into unconsciousness with his own garden spade and dragged by his feet into the floral underworld these vicious monsters now inhabit.

Be afraid, be very afraid ...

Strobist info: Quite involved this week: I used my 50mm to open up the aperture so had to use an ND8 filter (hand held over the lens by my son Joe as it's too big to fit my 50mm) to kill the ambient light. Bare SB600 behind the shed angled down at full power, pop-up flash on 1/4 power. Fired using CLS.

ISO: 100 // Shutter: 1/200 // Aperture: f2.5 + ND8 filter

If you in any way respect me you have to check it out bigger cos it's better
