A day out to Lyme Regis to see my buddy Jon was a good excuse to get some beachy SPs done.
I don't mind admitting that the last couple of days I haven't felt at all confident behind the lens. I'm trying to come to terms with the fact that I'll never be as good as I want to be (cos that would mean being the photographer equivalent of Jesus or something).
I've seen over the last couple of days the little things that take a photographer a step up from good to great, and I'm not convinced I'll ever make that step because those little things are something inherent and you either have it or you don't.
Or are they? This shot would never have turned out the way it did (ie as I saw it in my head) if I hadn't been in the presence of my other awesome buddy Disco~Stu yesterday and watched how he positoned himself for some shots for . . . uh . . . secret stuff I can't talk about yet for security reasons ;-)
I'm talking bollocks again . . . sorry. I'll be trying to catch up with everyone this week as I've been a crappy contact lately.
Strobist info: SB600 to camera left at full power with some kind of CTO gel in an effort to replicate sunlight. Kindly hand-held by Jon as high as he possibly could. Fired by CLS.
