365/365 # A sticky end
I made it! One year of self portraits . . .
This is a pretty low key ending, but it's something I thought up a couple of weeks back, and as nothing better has presented itself in the meantime I went with this.
I was working on something much more upbeat but I didn't really like it, then Lydia saw this one and (much to my surprise cos she's hates my moody side) she preferred this shot, so I went with this one and I'm really glad I did. As Lydia said, this is more my style.
I might post the outtake later when I'm getting daily posting withdrawls ;-)
I've (mostly) enjoyed the year, but I couldn't do it again - props to those of you doing a 365 beyond year one cos I know I couldn't. I have enjoyed doing it though. Mostly . . .
It's been a real education this past year, not only learning for myself but from you guys too. Before Flickr I'd never really had an active interest in photography or been influenced by famous photographers - all my main influences are here on Flickr, that means you guys are like my photography heroes! It's like Noel Gallagher being able to go online and talk to John Lennon having you guys around to guide me - I still have a load to learn.
And because I still have loads to learn I'm not going to give up the selfies altogether. Another 365 would be too much with the baby due soon and the fact it'd warp my fragile little mind, but 52 Weeks sounds like fun. And the 365 or less group, I like that idea. So, my 52 Weeks project will start next week and follow straight on from my 365. Only less frequently. Obviously.
This is turning into drivel like an Oscar acceptance speech so for now I'll say bye from my 365, but I'll still try and keep up with you all because some of you are also really close to finishing (nearly there Brad!) and I've been lucky enough to find a couple of photostreams that are really cool where their 365 is just beginning (Kaboomish Gem and just.K, who's just started a year two!), two photostreams definitely worth sticking around for.
Umm . . . that, I think, is about it. The End. Hope you enjoyed. See ya soon mmm-kay?
