217/365 # Transparency
This is nothing like what I had in mind. All the shots I took today that I thought were going to be good looked like shit when I got them off the camera, so I couldn't use them.
This shot I ended up using was from when I was playing around with long exposures and my flash. In the original shot I was transparent, but in Lightroom I dropped the exposure slider down as low as it would go and I turned solid.
Then I set the clarity to 100, messed around with the highlights because they were really shiny, changed it to B&W and then moved to Photoshop to apply the texture.
I'm really gutted that the other shots didn't come out as they looked in camera, I guess I still have a lot to learn about taking a good photo.
I've uploaded the original shot so you can see how it started life. For all those that think I constantly put myself down for no reason, go check out the original photo and you'll see why I'm constantly ragging on my own photos.
Strobist info: SB600 at 1/32 power, hand held to camera right just above my head facing downwards. Partially snooted by my home made gel holder thing (minus gel), as far as I can remember.
