Giant draughts
Taken on our holiday to Centre Parcs in November 2008. You can see the rest of the set here.
These draughts are like . . . really big. And there's a giant draughts board outside the sports bar - I had to try and get some sort of shot. I took it because there's some people on Flickr that make this kind of thing into a really interesting and cool photo. Not sure if I did that. It's not what I was going for - I didn't get the DoF I wanted, I was too far away I think. DoF increases the further away from the subject you are right? Still trying to get my head round that concept so correct me if I'm wrong - please!
I put this shot through Lightroom about four times, re-importing each time and bumping up the clarity to 100% to get the 'dirty' effect on that white draught.
Honestly, these are like the size of your foot . . . if you have a weird shaped foot?
