163/365 # Camouflage
We went round to my mate Dan's today and him, me and our mate Neil took a walk so I could get some shots and maybe get a rare outside 365 shot.
And get one I did. Three in fact, but only two made it as far as Flickr - you can see the outtake here.
This is taken with the fiddy again . . . I used my kit lens for a couple of shots where I wanted a wider angle but the photos I got were rubbbish. This is somewhere in between Wyke Regis and Portland, in the background over my right shoulder you can just about make out a castle - this is where we were heading to, but because I kept stopping to take photos we didn't have time. That's OK though, it's another photo opportunity for another time.
Dan's a very handy person to have on these walks, it was his idea to go out and take some photos - he's a damn fine friend to put up with this obsession of mine. He's knows loads about the local geography and history, and it's a shame I forgot all the stuff he told me earlier because I was going to relate it back to y'all. Damn.
Still, it was a lot of fun to get out wander around taking photos outside of my kitchen. Thanks must go to Dan and Neil for their patience, waiting for me while I get the tripod set up, get the camera ready, take test shots, take a self-portrait, run back to set the remote up in my camera cos I forgot, run back into position and take photos and take the camera and tripod down before moving on.
Oh yeah, and can anyone tell me if the Nikon 55-200m lens is any good? I kinda want it but can't find any reviews anywhere.
