42/365 # Pretend shredding

Had to post another rush job tonight - straight from work to band rehearsal. I had about half an hour in between getting home and going back out again so I legged it up to the boy's room because it's got the only cleanish whitish wall in the house and I arsed about in front of the camera till I got this shot!

It was cool to post a shot where I'm not looking moody - see, I'm not the grumpy person I pretend to be in most of my photos!

Truth be told I was really looking forward to our rehearsal, we've got some great new tracks to spit and polish before we stick them in the set for our next gig. It went really well, amazingly we all remembered the old songs we haven't practised for about four months, it souded pretty good I think, but man it was loud. We ended the night with a big girly argument between drummer and lead guitarist, but we got them to kiss and make up so everyone parted on good terms. As it should be, we had a great practise! If you can believe it, the argument started because our drummer ended a song a few bars too early (right in the middle of my solo! I don't do many, more of a rhythm guitarist really, so I was well into it) and our lead guitarist, bless him, absolutely lovely guy but brutally honest, said some thing that seemed to hit a nerve with our drummer.

Now I look back it was hilarious really, what a dumb thing to argue about eh? And five minutes before we wrapped things up for the night.

So yeah, this shot was a quickie while I was getting guitars, amps etc packed up ready to go. I'm pleased with it because it's a contrast to the usual stuff I post. I wish the headstock had been fully in the shot though, that's kinda annoying me but overall it's come out OK.

Time for some sleep now, I'm tired out from too many late nights but just Friday to go and I've got a weekend of nothing to look forward to - that sounds sarcastic but I'm not kidding, doing nothing sounds great!

Music today: Led Zeppelin BBC Sessions, mostly through one headphone because the left one decided to break this morning. Got a new set though so I should be enjoying full stereo sound for tomorrow's journey to work. Then at work I listened to nothing but the six new songs in our set. But I listened to them all day. It was worth it.

Rock out with your . . . ahhhhh . . . right leg? out
