21/365 # Hangin' around
Hey hey! Had no ideas for a shot today, luckily Disco~Stu emailed me to ask if I wanted to go out on a photoshoot tonight – and I’m glad he did.
We started out near the harbour and wandered around taking photos of boats, seagulls, padlocks – the usual stuff.
I’d already taken a few SPs and I thought I had tonight’s in the bag but then I had this idea – wouldn’t it be funny to do a handstand up against that handy wall over there and use that as my 365.
This idea evolved as soon as I realised I could hold myself up by my feet and let go of the ground. Stu decided to sit in the foreground and it gave the photo just the right level of bizarreness so I had to use it tonight.
I took at least five shots of me hanging upside down, all on a 10 second timer so by the end I was nearly passing out but hey! It was worth it. What I really wanted was a shot of me facing forwards but I’d’ve had to break my ankles to hang upside down by my feet still so I vetoed that idea. I stand by my decision.
Had a bit of a crap day at work so it was great to get out, relax and have some fun.
Processed the shot in Lightroom to tweak the exposure etc.
Hopefully I’ll get time to upload a couple more shots from tonight’s walkabout – might even start that 365 outtake set I’ve mentioned before . . .
