Bicton 25.05.2008 - Bicton Fountain
Yesterday it was meant to be raining, so of course we planned a day out to Bicton Park with our very great pals the Matthews family - whaddaya know, the sun shone and we had a great time, and when we were finished we stopped off at Lyme Regis and spent the evening eating chips and dodging seagulls by the beach.
Bicton has an amazing pond, it's huge, and in the middle is this fountain - God how I wanted to be able to get some slow shutter action on this, I've seen some photos on Flickr involving slow shutters and water that made my jaw drop, but alas lack the tools and more importantly the skills - and I took several shots of it.
Most of the shots I ended up cutting off the tip of the actual fountain of water, which is a shame cos I preferred some of the other shots to this one, but this one came out the best on balance. The sky came out nice and the spray from the fountain and central spout of water look quite nice - but it's better on black
