American Bittern Mating Dance

This is an American Bittern doing a mating dance. These are really shy birds, and it is pretty neat to see one. I happened along one day and this guy was out in the open. We stared at each other for a long time, then he decided I wasn't going to do anything, and he resumed what he was doing - a mating dance would be my guess
