ChatGPT to draft an Ideal Client Profiler

Here’s how I use ChatGPT to fill out my Ideal Client Profiler and get interesting insights on my target client.

 

First, I gather all existing company data on demographics and interests (age, location, profession) from surveys or CRM sources and enter it into the Profiler as a foundation.

 

Then, I use ChatGPT to suggest what typical previous purchases or actions the client might have made before interacting with my offer. Moving on, I prompt for their key purchase drivers: motivations and triggers that would prompt action.

I then have ChatGPT develop “before and after” scenarios. I prompt for specific descriptions of what my ideal client has, feels, and does, both before and after engaging with my service, letting ChatGPT build on the data already collected.

 

Next, I have ChatGPT imagine a “day in the life” of my client, exploring daily routines and emotional states that would fit those demographics and interests. To understand underlying values, I ask ChatGPT to brainstorm the client’s core beliefs and what they stand for or reject (the “Good vs. Evil” section).

 

I systematically ask for the main frustrations, fears, wants, and aspirations based on my product or service. After each answer, I refine the information with ChatGPT, deepening each section before moving on.

 

Examples of prompts I enter ChatGPT:

 

“What are the main frustrations and fears experienced by this client before trying my solution?”

“Write a short journal entry representing a typical day for this client (before and after) using my product.”

“Which values or worldviews are most important to this client?”

“List the main goals and aspirations that would drive this client to seek my services.”

 

After gathering draft answers, I review and refine each section interactively with ChatGPT. I ask for clarifications, deeper examples, and alternative perspectives as needed to complete and enrich the profiler.

 

To validate the final result, I use persona-based scenarios with ChatGPT (e.g., “Act as if you are my ideal client. How would you perceive this marketing message?”) to test the resonance and refine my communication.
