owl kusudama or a truncated icosahedron

Yes I really like my fuse box to hold pieces in. I also use it for a size reference of my finished projects

This ball does not like thick paper at all. And relies on sharp angles. There are a few variations floating and the internet, and I believe it is called signet base.

I want to try to make a few od the variations over the next few days just because I really do like the way this one turns out. But my hands needs a few days from the thick magazine paper i used. This is probably one of the simpler variations, and an example of pre creases makes it possible. But it did require a lot of going back to check if I had the right shape. As usually neatness counts.

It also turned out really friendly to ripped pieces of paper since none of the outer edges are visible on the finished unit. Start color side down if you want to finish with it out. Looking at the unassembled units I am sure they are relatively easy to invert and would assemble. Providing an interesting line pattern, but it would still be one color.

30x square units, 4.25 inches

Mixed between copy paper and magazine paper.

No glue or taped use
