Pigmentation can be described as the coloring of your skin. Excess melanin, which causes skin color, may sometimes occur when traumatized by the sun, hormonal imbalances, age or acne scar tissue or even some drugs—resulting in such conditions as melasma, age spots, tanning or after-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
